Dead Mexicans - By Carroll Bryant

Living on the edge
A little obtuse
Shaking it to break it
Breaking it loose

We are freedom hoarders racing to the border
Fighting for our lives in almost every way we can

We are dead Mexicans
Our eyes are blind to the laws of the land
We are dead Mexicans
Wipe the smile from our faces
We are – dead

Gringo is the thing we like to say
We call it or someone every single day
Senoritas waiting for us when we get home
Illegal aliens and feeling all alone

We are dead Mexicans
Our mouths are open and we’re running out of oxygen
We are dead Mexicans
Understand we stand alone
We are, for all intended purposes – dead

Living on the edge – we are
A little weaker for the wear – we are
Shaking these things that we are called
Breaking these chains

We are freedom hoarders racing to the border
Fighting for our lives in almost every way we can

They call us crazy but maybe we are anchor babies
Satisfaction guaranteed and then it’s America or bust
Oh, baby

We are dead Mexicans
Our eyes are blind to the laws of the land
We are dead Mexicans
Wipe the smile from our faces

We are dead Mexicans
Our mouths are open and we’re running out of oxygen
We are dead Mexicans
Understand we stand alone
We are, for all intended purposes – dead
We are
We are – dead
We are
We are dead Mexicans
We are

Deport us if you can find us
Kill us and we are already – dead
