My heart lingers in a state of discontent
Watching all the suffering in the world
Over here we have people trying to make sense
Over there people are dying from another war
When will everything be about peace and harmony?
Why can't people stop already with all of their Goddamn hate?
Nobody said it was gonna be easy
In life you're always left to believe
Troubles come down hot and heavy
Bringing you to your knees
You're trying to put the pieces together
It's another job that you don't need
Time keeps dragging on forever
All the while you're searching for x, y, and z
Communication breaks down in heated misery
Communities fall apart from bigotry disease
Over here we have the hero's sitting in their government seats
Over there we have the victims happy in their poverty
When will anything be about the truth and honesty?
Why do people just pretend they care about humanity?
Nobody said it was gonna be easy
In life you're always left to believe
Troubles come down hot and heavy
Bringing you to your knees
You're trying to put the pieces together
It's another job that you don't need
Time keeps dragging on forever
All the while you're searching for x, y, and z
Reporters never ask the hard questions
Politicians always seem to have the easy answers
Everybody has a ton of suggestions
Adding to the problems obvious cancer
